This morning I checked in with the surgeon's office and got the date...tomorrow. So today we changed plans and I go in first thing the 29th, 5 months to the day I first saw the surgeon.
Thanks to everyone, and especially my wife and our families for the support, prayers and positive thoughts. The wait was made tolerable because of all the power of this support.

His surgery went great and he's doing well. Awake and going through the steps for recovery. He's happy to have your support and well wishes. And importantly, prayers.
